Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a treatment for sleep apnea and other sleep-related breathing disorders that involves wearing a mask over the nose or mouth to deliver air pressure to help keep the airway open during sleep. Cpap is a widely used and effective treatment for sleep apnea, and can result in improved sleep quality, reduced daytime sleepiness, and improved overall quality of life.
