Automatic behavior refers to actions that are performed without conscious awareness or control. These actions can be simple, such as driving a familiar route without actively thinking about it, or more complex, such as performing a task at work without being aware of the steps involved. Automatic behavior can occur during sleep or wakefulness, and can be seen in conditions such as sleepwalking or sleep-related eating disorder. This is a short summary article.
